A few weeks ago I told you guys about a video competition for charity and asked you to vote for us. I hadn’t given any updates because they haven’t announced the outcome yet. But the event (Project for Awesome) itself was very successful: it raised over $2.300.000, more than it ever has in the last 15 years. And our project got good exposure, it even was featured on the livestream of the event. So, we don’t know if we won anything, but we got close, and it was an honor to be part of the community. So, thank you to everyone who watched, shared, and voted for our video!
At the moment I am writing my master’s thesis on how to help the poor. I will be working on that until May. I love the topic, but it’s going to be a lot of work. My day-to-day view looks like this:
However, even from my desk, there was reason to appreciate creativity: there was a lot of Sahara dust in the air for a few days, so the sunrises were especially colorful. I was able to catch a series of images of one of the sunrises from my dorm window. God is an artist indeed!
I hope you keep your eyes open for little things, so you catch the sunrise or the smell of your morning coffee. Maybe just say thank you when you notice things like that. It sure makes my day, maybe it will make yours, too. Either way, have a great day!
