The people of Lelée have a reputation of being hard-working, but they are odd in a way: They never make a sound. Day by day they go about their chores without saying a word.
One day, a traveler named Jalbery Justin passes through and spends the night in Lelée. As soon as he finds out the village’s oddity, he decides to teach the people to talk…

This story is partly inspired by my autistic sister Jessica who can’t talk. It is about discovering the thoughts, dreams and ideas that are hidden in people. And it’s about seeing that eventhough they have difficulty expressing themselves, they have a voice, just like anyone else.
