Second-Hand-Basar at School!

Second-Hand-Basar at School!

We had our own little second-hand-store at our school. Students brought their good second-hand clothes, we (I and a team) sorted the stuff and set it up with some decorations and tea and cookies. Apart from saving money and material on clothes, we wanted to raise money for the non-profit “International Justice Mission” (work against modern-day slavery).
We never did this before, so we didn’t know how it would be received. But it was received very well: Probably half the school showed up. People bought lots of stuff. And we raised over 300Euros (about 350Dollars) for IJM. And all the remaining clothes got sent to families in Eastern Europe. So, I would call that a full success!
