It took around 20h of work. I was up until 1AM yesterday, but it was worth it: I made a 4min-video about the NGO/CBO “Suubi Teen MOPS Uganda”, for a big upcoming online charity event (behind-the-scenes pictures down below). With your help, we potentially have the chance to raise thousands of dollars for Suubi. Here’s what it’s about:
The charity event is called “Project for Awesome” and is hosted by John and Hank Green (most famous for their YouTube Channel “Vlogbrothers”, “Crashcourse” and some bestselling novels like “The Fault in our Stars” or “An Absolutely Remarkable Thing”). Once a year, they do a 48h-livestream with their fans, during which they hang out, have fun conversations, and promote charities.
This year, they will be doing Project for Awesome from Feb 12-14. The viewers have a good time, donate money to the Project for Awesome fund, or vote on their favorite charities. Then, the money raised is divided: The money raised on day one supports “Partners in Health” and “Save the Children”, the money raised on day 2 goes to the charities with the most votes.
So, between Feb 12-14, you can help us out in 3 ways:
- Join the livestream event on www.projectforawesome.com and vote for our project
- Donate to the fund at Project for Awesome or our Website (www.teenmopsuganda.com/support-us)
- Share this video with everyone you know and ask them to do the same
And now, without further ado, here’s the video, and some behind-the-scenes for those who find that interesting. Thanks for watching, and don’t forget to be awesome!
