Last-Minute Christmas Gifts

Last-Minute Christmas Gifts

There’s been a lot going on in the past few weeks: We had an Open Mic night at our school, where people could share their creativity. I went to visit friends that I hadn’t seen in 3 years. I continued work on a presentation, which is due on friday. And I preached at a small church, too.

In other words: Not much time for Christmas shopping. And now that Christmas is just a week away, I still want to come up with gifts for my family. I have 4 siblings, 2 parents, and a dog waiting at home, so that ideally makes 7 gifts.

You have gifts to make, limited time, not much money and not so many materials. What do you?
I started with my mom’s travel mug. She bought the mug in Uganda with me, at the restaurant right below our apartment. But the text was rubbing off, so I took a chisel to it and engraved the logo permanently. All it needs is some varnish to prevent further erosion.
Next in line: a keychain hanger made of bottle caps, epoxy, and wire.
To be followed by a custom book cover, a small notebook, a collage, a chew toy, and more. With luck, the presents will be ready on time :)
