I’ve been quiet online these days because there’s a lot of stuff going on in the background. Among other things, I’ve graduated from seminary! Well, technically I didn’t graduate yet: I’ve finished the master’s thesis and all classes, but I still need to do a 6-month-internship. But still, we had our graduation ceremony on Sunday.
My dad and sister came to the ceremony. We had lunch together, and I said good-bye to my classmates and professors. The mentor of our class got a walking stick and a hat for his hikes in the alps. And I got to carve “class of 2016” into it with some ornaments (classes are named after the year they started instead of the year they finish). That went over well :)
For weeks I’ve been preparing my stuff to move out of seminary. And on Monday, my dad and sister helped me to actually move the bulk of the stuff: The paintings, art supplies, most of the clothes and stuff like that. I myself stayed at seminary until Thursday, to go to a last open mic night. I spent several days cleaning and lifting things, it was exhausting. But it worked out in the end. At the open mic, I played a song and read a story from my new book. Other people performed a dance, duets, or rap. It was the best way to end the 5 years!
And now, it’s time for me to focus on writing my book. I will be mostly offline during that time to focus on writing, but also on restructuring the website and preparing some ideas for marketing. I think Nicole Heymann Art will look different than it did before. But that’s good. It was a good season to have it one way, and now it will develop to adapt to the new situation. Thanks to everyone who read, liked, shared or commented on my posts. We had readers from all over the world, which is cool. I hope you have a good summer, God bless you, and have a great day!
