I’ve written on several occasions before. Family parties, school dedications, friend’s birthdays or just for my own enjoyment. But so far, I haven’t been officially published beyond those kinds of settings. Well, that just changed: I got to sign my first contract with a small publisher in Germany (SCM Verlag)! They are a Christian publisher who, among other things, wants to publish a new edition of the German Teens Bible which will include short introduction pages, appropriate for teenagers. I get to be one of the four authors of these pages. Sure, it’s a small project as far as written pages go. But those pages were still fun to write and gave a small look at how you can work with editors. It was a great experience. One to be continued: It will be great to see what the typography and graphics teams to with our contributions and what the whole product looks like when it’s published!
