I am currently at a 2-week internship. But that doesn’t mean I can’t bring a sketchbook along part of the time. In particular, I was able to draw some new friends at a grill party event. They were from Ethiopia and Iran. Also, a few days before, I went to apply for my US-Passport. While I was waiting in the lobby, I took the time to sketch some of the employees and another guy who was waiting. I don’t draw as often as I would like, but I am always amazed that you really can draw almost anywhere. It also can be an interesting conversation opener: People are curious, flattered, vain, awkward or gitty, but they mostly will open up to you for some conversations. As a person who normally considers conversations a challenge, this is a plus for me :)
