I kind of messed up the restaurant picture and have to repaint it 2 times in the next 2 weeks. This is frustrating given the time pressure, since my exam is on July 6th. But after a few moments of “shock” I remembered the painter John Singer Sargent, one of the greatest portrait painters in the 19th/early 20th Century. One of his most famous works is “Carnation Lily Lily Rose”, which can be found in the Tate Gallery in London. It is a beautiful piece and was painted by a great master, but not in one go: He took 2 summers to paint the picture and oftentimes would scrape off his day’s work to start over, until he finally got it just right.
Even a master might need several attempts to produce a masterpiece.
